Donuts


Donuts are a big delight.
We can eat donuts with tea/coffee or as snacks.!!
We can even decorate with chocolate/vanilla icing sprinkled with colorful sprinkles and nuts.
 So, here's a quick recipe for donuts.. :


                                                              

Ingredients:
  • ·         Yeast  -2 and 1/4 tsp
  • ·         Warm Water (98 degrees) -1/8 cup
  • ·         Lukewarm Milk -3/4 cup
  • ·         Sugar -1/4 cup
  • ·         Salt -1/2 tsp
  • ·         Egg -1
  • ·         Oil -1/6 cup
  • ·         Flour -2 and 1/2 cup
  • ·         Cooking oil (for deep frying) as required.


Method :
1.     In a mixing bowl mix the yeast and water until it dissolves.
2.     Add to the bowl milk, sugar, salt, egg, oil, 1 cup of the flour and mix on low speed for 30 second.
3.     Scrape the sides occasionally and continue beating for 2 minutes.
4.     Stir in remaining flour until smooth and cover with cloth and leave for an hour or until the mixture doubles in volume.
5.     Turn dough onto floured surface, roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness and cut with round cookie cutter.
6.     On floured baking sheets cover the donuts with a cloth and leave for 30-40 minutes until doubles in size.
7.     Heat vegetable oil in deep fryer to 350 degrees.
8.     Place the doughnuts in the hot oil and turn them as they turn golden brown for about 1 minute on each side and strain from oil.
9.     Dust with powdered sugar or spread with chocolate/vanilla glaze as well as coloured sprinkles and serve.

                    Rich chocolate cake


Yummy it sounds na?? Well, you can make this easily at your home...
It can be eaten with tea or you can simply frost it and have its yummm taste!! :D


                                                      
                                                     
Ingredients:

  • Butter-125 g
  • Sugar -125 g
  • Golden syrup-1 tsp
  • Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
  • Eggs -2
  • Baking powder- 1 and half tsp
  • Flour-150 g
  • Cocoa -50 g
  • Milk - a little

Method :
  • Cream together butter,sugar,golden syrup and vanilla essence until light.
  • Shift together dry ingredients.
  • Beat eggs separately.
  •  Now add eggs alternately with dry ingredients into creamed butter mixture and just enough milk to make it soft.
  • Pour into a 7 inch greased tin and bake in a preheated oven at gas mark 4/180ยบ C for 30-40 minutes.
  • Remove, cool on wire rack and frost it.
