Egg fried rice:
The staple of many an
oriental meal, fried rice is quick and easy to make. Made from very economical
ingredients it can also feed a large family for very little money. The
following guide will discuss how to
make simple fried rice with vegetables, you
can spice it up by adding meat, shrimp or any number of
other ingredients.
Ingredients :
- · Rice- 500gm
- · Salt to taste
- · Vinegar -2 tsp
- · Soya sauce- 1 tsp
- · Eggs -4
- · Black pepper -1/2 tsp
- · Food colour (yellow) 1 pinch (mix in little water so doesn’t make lumps)
- · Crushed ginger-garlic 2tsp
- · Chicken stock- ½ cup
- · Spring onion- 1 bunch
- · Oil ½ cup
Method :
- Boil rice in water with salt and vinegar and soya sauce.
- In a bowl add eggs, salt and black pepper, also add food colour.
- Fry scrambled eggs like an omelette and break into little pieces.
- Take separate pan and heat 1 tsp oil, add crushed ginger garlic and sauté it.
- Add salt and black pepper, then add chicken stock and boiled rice and cover it for few min.
- Add spring onions and fried egg pieces over it.
- Mix it and serve hot.
